RE this good discussion on the fatal flaw...current reality..
I do think the seeds of positive transformation are in the current reality,
bad news and all. This goes to the need to bump up our thinking to a higher
level (a la Einstein that "you can't solve problems on the same level as you
created them" --or something like that).
The Technology of Participation methods also focus on surfacing underlying
contradictions in situations that hinder moving to our vision (or what we
have discovered that we appreciate and want to bring more into our life).
These contradictions are underlying structures that we are complicit in
sustaining through our mental models, patterns of relationships, habits,
etc. If we can surface these, we release new energy toward what we are
focused on...
I sure enjoy this online community! -Marti

Yes, Olen, I agree.
It¹s the ³either/or² dichotomy that hangs us up. That¹s why I embrace the
creating process. It embraces both the vision and reality (just as it is,
describing it, not judging it as ³problems²). It¹s the ability to hold both
vision and reality in mind that gives rise to creative tension, the
container for creating, and much of the energy that powers acts of creating.
Cheers!
Bruce
