[Ailist] Appreciative Inquiry on Twitter - discovering what's going on with other AI practitioners

As a baby boomer, I struggle with keeping up with all the new social networking technology. Or maybe it is just me--having nothing to do with being a baby boomer at all. Either way, a few questions for this lovely crowd:

1. How do you keep up with a social networking site AND twitter at the same time? When do you twitter and when do you go to a social networking site?

2. What social networking site do you like and why? There's Face Book, Linked In, Xing, Plaxo, and probably others that I'm not aware of. But which one do you like and why? Or are you registered on multiple sites?

3. How do you manage connections (business and professional), information gathering/retrieval, across all these media....phone calls, e-mail, social networking, twitter, internet, and face-to-face relationships? What helps? How does it benefit you? What cautions would you offer?

4. How do "virtual" friendships compare to face-to-face friendships? Do "virtual" friendships interfere with face-to-face friendships? How do you balance them?

5. Have you gotten to a point where it is overwhelming? If so, what was that like? And what did you do then?

On the edge of it all,
Gretchen

Want to say ditto!

I started just a few days ago with Twitter and Sue James connected with me within hours. It was so welcoming and felt I had a buddy already.

I use http://monitter.com as a keyword alert, so thanks for the other reference.

Hope to see more of us there. My twitter account is http://twitter.com/robbiecat

Kindest regards,

Robyn.

Hi all ..

I'd like to add my support for Andy's suggestion.

As a relatively new Twitter user myself, I've found it a great way to make connections with like-minded people ...

and also used Tweetlater's keyword alert for Appreciative Inquiry.

That's how I found and began to follow Andy in Twitter - so it works. :-)

It would be great to see more Appreciative Inquiry folk in Twitter as well!
