   Hi Ross

As someone who uses a lot of solution focussed thinking I see many
parallels. As some have suggested solution focused therapy is a lot
like doing AI with individuals of AI is a lot like doing solution
   focused therapy with large groups.

One of the big differences being that when working with individuals
you don't need to do the extensive storytelling that is required in
group settings, a person can remember the story, and as long as they
have it in consciousness they can work with it, without needing to
actually tell the whole story to the coach.

I have created an approach to coaching and appreciative inquiry that
I call the appreciative way, a combination of appreciative inquiry,
Contemplative spirituality and the work of Milton Eriskson and his
students - some of whom such as Bill O'Hanlon developed solution
   focused therapy.

You can find iinformation about the approach at:

   http://www.clergyleadership.com/coaching/aw-coaching.html

I am teaching a week long introduction to appreciative coaching in
Malibu, March 16-20 and then the following week March 23-27 in
Chicago. the early tuition is $700

Information for both programs can be found at:

   http://www.clergyleadership.com/training/schedule.html

Both programs qualify for APA and NBCC Continuing Ed for psychologists
and counselors. The programs would be appropriate for anyone who wants
to learn an appreciative approach to counseling that also uses their
spirituality as a essential resource in their life and work.
