Mosaic is offering the following workshop that weaves appreciative inquiry
into results-based management and open space technology.
Results-based Management, Appreciative Inquiry and Open Space Technology
Workshop
July 20-24,2009
Build your capacity in Results-based Management(RBM), Appreciative Inquiry
(AI) and Open Space Technology(OST). Learn about and practice three
innovative approaches to development planning, performance monitoring and
reporting that move away from the tried and tired problem solving approach
to an asset-based approach that builds energy, insight and rapport among
stakeholders. AI becomes the building block for applying RBM for planning,
monitoring and evaluation. This workshop will expose you to the latest RBM
performance frameworks used by Treasury Board of Canada, CIDA and OECD.
These approaches are increasingly being used around the world to tap into
new ways to do our work that are more results-oriented, less
problem-focused and promote self-organization and leadership.
The following themes will be part of the workshop:
-Results-based management and its implications for your organization;
-Building results-based logical frameworks;
-Creating monitoring and evaluation systems that are results-based;
-Moving away from problem-focus approaches to more asset-based approaches;
-The appreciative inquiry cycle;
-Weaving appreciative approaches into results-based Management;
-Using Appreciative Inquiry in the workplace.
-Experiencing open space technology.
