You folks all know that I think that conversation "done right" is a fabulous catalyst for nurturing creativity and for lifting spirits. (The "done right " has huge latitude, by the way - and the discovery interview of AI is perhaps the outstanding model)
In his book "Infinite Potential" about physicist and Dialoguist David Bohm author F. David Peat cites Bohm as coming to the recognition that his conversations with individuals was an important contributor to his ideas.**
I would love to hear of books, articles, or quotes in which people credit conversation as being a great resource and catalyst for them.
All this makes me wonder a little - we learn about debating, we learn abut critical thinking. Are there courses on "Synthetic Thinking" (as in "synthesis") and courses in conversations that help each other in idea formation?
But I digress, eye back onto the prize - who are the great advocates of "conversations that help each other flourish"
All the best
Mike

"After Yevick and Vigier departed, Bohm was struck by the realization that, "I depend much more then I thought on such conversation, in order to bring out dormant ideas into a defintie form, and to prevent them from continuing to "sleep" forever...."
