[Ailist] workplace bullying and AI?

Hi Nancy,

I recently facilitated a very successful workshop called "The Bully at Work: Messy Situations, Professional Solutions." The first activity was called "What I Want," and pairs discussed an AI question on how they successfully stood up to difficult person or situation.

My facilitator notes say: Find characteristics, skills, and techniques that worked. Discuss that you did this productively - and it's a behavior. Since behavior is learned, old behaviors can be discarded and new ones learned.

That was Part A: What I Want; the other parts of the session were
B: Plan and Prepare (background)
C: Act (they taught this part)
D: Fine-tune and Formalize (personal reflection and planning)

The three varied and excellent resources we used were:
- Bullies Below the Radar by Ben H. Leichtling, Ph.D.
- How to Stop Bullies in Their Tracks by Ben H. Leichtling, Ph.D.
- Take the Bully by the Horns by Sam Horn

The AI portion exceeded my hopes (doesn't it always!) and really set a positive and practical tone for the half-day session. We returned to this in Part D, the personal reflection and planning.

I hope this is a help. Please let me know if you have any questions at all.

All the best,
Diane

Subject: [Ailist] workplace bullying and AI?

Hello AI community!

I understand that in the far and recent past, there has been some discussion on this listserv on workplace bullying and how to address it using AI.  I am in the process of putting together some trainings on wb and would love to be put in contact with folks who are looking at this issue through the AI lens.  Any help would be most appreciated!

Have a great day--

Nancy

"Vocatus," meaning "Called," is the Latin root origin of such words as vocation and evoke.  What calls you?
