In early January, I will be doing a one-day faculty and staff development
workshop for a four-year state university in the upper Midwest. As I have
been perusing Google Scholar and the Ai Commons web site, it looks as if Ai
has woven its way into state universities in the following arenas:
- Medical schools (Indiana and Virginia)
- Schools of Education, particularly in interfaces with K-12 education
- Academic schools and departments (are there speciifc cases out there?)
- Student affairs (Penn State)
- Human resources (Case Western)
- Extension services
- Library systems (Journal article - The Promise of Appreciative Inquiry in
Library Organizations)
- Work with boards of trustees (are there cases out there?)
- Instructional design and classroom pedagogy
- Academic and career advising (Incorporating Appreciative Inquiry into
Academic Advising, J.L. Bloom)
- elearning
- Program evaluation (Using Appreciative Inquiry in Evaluation, New
Directions for Evaluation)
What I am looking for are specific written cases where Ai has been used in
four-year colleges and universities and/or articles in refereed journals
about the use of Ai in four-year colleges or universities. I am happy to
compile whatever I get and share it with all who are interested.
Thanks for your time!
