[Ailist] Loving Politicians etc Big file attached

Barack Obama was in Bend OR Sat. My husband waited in line for 3 hours
to get me 2 tickets and my son got up to go to the school at 7am (he's
almost 19; rarely sees the light of day that early) to get a place in
line. The idea was to give me the best Mother's Day present ever.
My gift to you is this wonderful picture my husband took. My son took an
almost iconic picture of the crowd reaching over the side of the
bleachers to shake hands. I actually asked Barack if I could hug him and
did. My son got that shot too.
Medgar Evars widow introduced Barack to this mainly white audience. She
is 75 years old and lives in Bend and like many feel this is a potential
turning point for politics.
Whatever your feelings about Barack or anyone else, this event proved
politics can be appreciative and life-affirming, and reinforce family
values (whatever those are)
This really was the best Mother's Day gift for this Mama For Obama. With
this I don't want to start a debate about politics but share my gift
with you.
I hope you enjoy the picture.
