Wilber¹s work is based on abstracting common ³orienting generalizations²
from a vast amount of work by others such as Kolberg, and other scholars of
human development and evolution.  He¹s truly looking for the ³pattern that
connects.²  Not as an end, but as a beginning of new ways of thinking/doing.

Did you check out the URL that had the comparisons of different maps with
the SD map?
I think Kolberg is one of those compared with.

One thing, though, although I suspect you were saying with tongue in cheek,
I don¹t think it is useful to say that the US is run by a bunch of 7 years
olds.  From an SD point of view, those running the US are pretty high on the
Orange (achievement) level, but they are definitely concocting foreign
policy like 7-year olds or gang leaders or tribal war lords would.
