Hi Rob,
The Spiral Dynamics stuff is pretty complicated at first glance. For me,
it¹s complicated after many glances and much study on my own. But well
worth learning about

So I suggest you first look over the Wikipedia page. It gives the levels
and a description, as well as a bit of a developmental overview and a few
critiques. It¹s at

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiral_dynamics

There is a very nifty, interactive graphic of the levels, with an overlay of
Ken Wilber¹s 4-Quadrant approach. You have to scroll over the text on the
right of the graphic to overlay the 4-quadrants (up left, up right, lower
left, lower right) and see what human behaviours/develop are attributed to
individuals and groups in each quadrant at each level.

Also, there is an instructive page on the Clare Graves website, where a
number of different maps (including Maslow¹s) are compared with Spiral
Dynamics.

So far the best article I¹ve found on the topic was an interview with Don
Beck (one of the creators of SD) in What Is Enlightenment? magazine, Issue
22 (Fall Winter 2002). You can access it at www.wie.org/j22/ but you
have to sign up for a 15 day trial of their WIE Unbound on-line mag. Or you
can buy it from them. It¹s a great issue of a magazine that continues to
push the boundaries of my thinking.

You can try this URL too http://www.wie.org/j22/beck.asp but a pop-up
may ask you to sign up. It¹s a great source of stuff on spirituality and
transformation ‹ individually and collectively.

That should get you started.

Cheers!
Bruce
