Hi Hank
several come to mind. the first is the coaching example I shared a couple of
days ago with the client's hands moving together as a result of his dialogue
between the two parts of him that initially were in conflict. All the synergy was
occuring within the one client, but he had clearly moved from having one part
dominate the other, or the other just compromising.
The other examples are from group work. What especially comes to mind are
when groups of people are working on shared drawings following the dream
phase and then working on provocative propositions. When the stories are rich
and the dreaming has been intense people seem to have an ability to blend their
ideas into a whole in an effortless manner. and the provocative propositions
almost seem to write themselves.
But those are my examples I think if you were to reflect on your best
experiences of group work, when there was a synergy, that created something
greater than the sum of all the parts, when there was laughter and a creative
ease of being together working together.
I think if you were to reflect on those times that you have experienced you would
be able to discern some of the features that have been discussed. Were people
having to fight for or compromise their values or was there some other deeper
honoring and unifying process going on?
