Alice,

I’m so glad you took the time to respond. This makes a lot of sense.  
I’m also a grandfather and my oldest son adopted a 8 year old boy two  
years ago. Nick is amazingly resilient considering what he went  
through as a child, but I think this approach will be helpful with  
him as well.
