Hello all

My husband Michael and I went up to Dayton yesterday to meet Samuel Maruta, the person from Zimbabwe who is interested in AI.  What a delight!  He has been reading about AI and thinks it has great possibility for the peace work his organization is doing in Zimbabwe.  He would like to attend a training but was unable to do that on this trip.  We talked about connecting over the internet and to our surprise (it should not have been a surprise) internet connection is very expensive for him.  We gave him our little book on couples on a "memory stick" and he was delighted since downloading is so expensive.  

There are three  possibilities as I see it to help Samuel 1) try to find a way to sponsor  him to the nearest training available 2) send him materials by mail and 3) send him material on memory sticks.  It might be possible to approach the Kettering Foundation for a grant on Samuel's behalf.

It was quite an amazing experience to meet Samuel and think about the kind of optimism and hope he has to hold out in order to do the work he is doing.  He said the only way things will change is for people to once again trust each other and remember who they are as neighbors and good times they have had as neighbors.
