Hi Mary Sue:
 
For my parents 45th anniversary, I asked people to send in a story of "a  
favorite memory of a shared time with my parents."  I then pasted them into  a 
scrapbook for them.  As it wasn't a large party and everyone knew each  other, I 
was able to read and share many of them.  Especially from those  who weren't 
able to attend but had sent in their story anyway.  It was  great fun.
