We are pleased to announce the conferencecallfor proposalsfor the 2008 annual 
conference, "Blazing New Trails of Leadership". Conference proposals can be submitted 
in any of our four presentation tracks, Research, Practice, Roundtable, & Poster. The 
official call is attached to this email in pdf. form. 


Submissions should address innovations in research, theory, or practice pertaining to the 
broad field of leadership education. We wish to encourage professionals from all 
leadership disciplines to submit proposals regardless of program, research, or project 
direction. However preference will be given to proposals aligned with our conference 
theme and the mission of our organization.

This year´s conference is all about exploring and "blazing" new applications and methods 
of leadership education and development. If you are interested in learning about new 
methods, new research results, and interacting with others from a broad diverse 
background, plan to come and join us! 

Great keynote speakers include: 

Bill Robinson author of "Leading People from The

You will have opportunities to present or listen to 28 professional concurrent papers and 
up to 30 posters.With the historic and grand Davenport Hotel as our headquarters in 
downtown Spokane you can easily walk to RiverFront Park, Nordstom, RiverPark Square, 
historic homes, Fox Theater and lots of restaurants and shops. 


Monday evening the entire conference participate group will enjoy dinner, socializing, and 
sightseeing on the Lake Coeur d´ Alene Scenic Cruise. Tuesday afternoon there willbe 
a true applied leadership session ondowntown development withcity examples chaired 
by Spokane Mayor Verner.This will befollowed by a night on your own for supper. We 
are identifying option restaurant destinations for those who want to meet new leadership 
enthusiasts and practitioners. On Sunday the 13th we are planning a choice of pre- 
conference tours and activities including aSilver Valley and Crystal Mine TourandAges 
of Elegance historical homes Tour - There is much for the whole family to explore and do

The Association of Leadership Educators aims to strengthen and sustain the expertise of 
professional leadership educators. Membership is open to any individual whose career
