I have been working with AI and similar ideas for say 5 years. What keeps
recurring for me - stronger and stronger as time goes on - it is the act of
trying to construct together that is the magic.
It has gotten to the point for me that I will have a conversation with one
friend - a converstion marked by curiosity, attention, and admiration - and
such conversation leads to discovery, learning, sharing, joy, and affection.
And then I get to "mine" the conversatin again - by reporting the
construction of joy to another friend - in a conversation marked with
curiosity, attention, and admiration and this second conversation is highly
likely to lead to discovery, learning, sharing, joy, and affection.
It is remarkable, almost awe inspiring - this talking about the pursuit of
happiness that brings ideas, happiness, engagement.
The idea of Ezekiel's Wheel Within a Wheel seems somehow relevant.
With the joy comes some sadness - that it is so slow an idea to spread. -
for before one can invitingly and effectively describe the ideas one must
lead the novice through the process. Nontheless, the ideas have the power
of a Tsunami at sea - and will not be stopped.
Happy New Year,
With Curiosity, Attention and Admiration, and Gratitude
Mike
