You might find the material from Spiral Dynamics valuable in regards to your
question.  For me, social constructionism is more complex than "words create
worlds" because there are worlds behind our words and these worlds most
often stay unexposed.

In Spiral Dynamics integral, cultural "worlds" arise in response to life
conditions--words are infused with the meanings associated with the life
conditions in which one is immersed (or from which one is speaking).  It ups
the level of complexity when looking at the principle of construction, but
it also ups the level of understanding and ability to communicate
effectively with others.
