Hello all,

This is a topic that has great interest for me. I think a move away from
evaluating performance and to valuing people is critical for organizations
that seek to be successful today and in the future.

For about the past two years, I have been working on a model of appreciative
valuation that I call Valuing People. About 18 months ago, a colleague and I
began to develop the model in earnest. We see the model as one that is an AI
infused, strengths-based approach to performance enhancement and
professional development. It also incorporates ideas from abundance theory,
positive psychology, and the positive organizational scholarship movement.

I recently wrote a lengthy paper on the subject and was honoured to receive
the feedback of several people on its content, structure, and direction.
While it has taken a lot longer than I anticipated in terms of rewriting it,
I am getting close to having it finished and I’d be pleased to share it with
those who have an interest. Simply send me an email and I’ll get it to you
when it is done.

As Maureen noted in her post, it’s difficult to share much in an email. I
would be happy to have a phone conversation, though, if you’re interested.

Best regards,

Bill
