As a "lurker" (and one of the first graduates from Seligman's Masters in
Applied Positive Psychology program at Penn) who really enjoys learning from
this list serve, it suddenly occurred to me that devotees of the excellent
principles of Appreciative Inquiry would like to know about how Michael B.
Frisch -- the creator of Quality of Life Therapy & Coaching -- is offering
four-week and fifteen-week teleclasses (with CEUs available for most mental
health professionals) in this discipline, with the next round of classes
starting in two weeks.

You can sign up and learn more about QOLTC at www.qoltc.com. It's
empirically-validated and has earned kudos from many leaders in the Positive
Psychology field as the "gold standard" for adding Positive Psych to your
life and your practice. Robert Biswas-Diener and Ben Dean's new book on
"Positive Psychology Coaching" raves about it, for example.

I'm looking forward to taking an in-person or teleclass in Appreciative
Inquiry, so I'm always interested in passing along news about other good
teleclasses that include Positive Psych.

Best,
Caroline Miller, MAPP

Subject: [Ailist] Coaching Core Transformations Training

Hi Folks

A month or so ago there was some discussion about Core Transformations a
process invented by Connirae Andreas to transform difficult emotions and
habits, discovering their underlying core positive intention. Connirae and
her husband Steve Andreas are leading developers of Neuro-Linguistic
Programming (NLP) a strength based approach facilitating and sustaining
change. The Clergy Leadership Institute has arranged for Tamara Andreas to
lead a three day workshop on Coaching Core Transformations in Sedalia (near
Denver) Colorado October 2-4. The early registration (by September
7) tuition is $400. This is one of the rare opportunities to receive this
training and receive APA Continuing Education for Psychologists and NBCC
Counselors. While not specifically appreciative inquiry the process has
many parallels to AI and is a powerful way to help clients deal positively
with difficult emotions and habits.
