[Ailist] Inquiry--working with First Nations youth

Hi. I am a new member of this list and have a question. I am involved in 
a project that entails working with First Nations youth (12-16 yr. old) 
in reserve high schools around developing healthy relationships, healthy 
communities, etc. We are planning a 3 day workshop and I am wondering if 
anyone out there has any experience with this population and this goal? 
Any resources, stories, most appreciated.

PS. "First Nations" means aboriginal. "Reserve high school" means a high 
school on an Indian reserve that is controlled by a tribal council. 
Teachers could be First Nations, white, or other. In some of the schools 
we will be working in (this workshop will involve about 25 students 
together from several schools) the school population is homogenous; in 
some it is white and First Nations students, and in some it is a 
heterogeneous population.
