 *Dear Friends in the AI-list!*

On a boat between Pireaus and Santorini we finally worked out the practical
details for the Metafari.
*We are proud to announce that this crazy idea actually will happen! *

Lena Holmberg, myself, Ruth Nesje and Ingrid Rudefors will do the Metafari
between Nov 25 and Nov 30.
We also have some brave  people who have already signed up.  Maximum number
of particpants is 20 with max 5 from each country

*So now it is only to clear your agenda and book tickets!*

Having tuned in to recent ideas around Design we would like you to be aware
that this first Metafari is a prototype, but as such it can be even more
exciting, because you will really be part of cocreating.

However, with Ruth Nesje - founder of Tanga International Conference Centre
- we are in extremely good hands.  Each element of the Metafari uses well
known roads, transportation and lodging.

You find information on www.metafari.com and in the enclosed pdf document!
The www.metafari.com is a blog that we are updating regurarely as we listen
in to questions and create new ideas!

At this time there are no problems finding flights from Europe. You can fly
via hubs of London, Amsterdam and Zurich.  Or you can fly Ethiopian Airlines
via Addid Ababa.  This seems to mean overnight flight starting Friday.
Other alternatives means departure Saturday.

Flying from New York will normally include changing planes in London, with
prices similar to flying from Europe - Around $130

Returning home (if you don't stay in Tanzania) can be arranged either
Saturday Dec 1 or Sunday Dec 2.

If you are interested in joining, you must register at www.metafari.com -
look at the top right corner.  Postings are categorized look at categories
at the right hand side of the screen.  There you also find som suggested
reading resources.  Please let us know what we should add.

Check flight schedule, allow for a couple of days before actually buying the
tickets.  We will arrange for a more formal registration later, but right
now we need to know how many of you that will actually join us!
