Hi Everyone,

Right now I am Greece and away from my resources
(sitting in Internet cafe)

However, I can share some of what was discussed in
Orlando at a workshop on Global Appreciative
Leadership.

First of all we found that some basic assumptions were
formed when "we landed" so that there is a culture of
age cohort that is an important cross cultural
indicator- people of the same age from different
countries saw similarities of perspective.

We then revisited a model of Appreciative Leadership
(from the Taos Insitiute Publication "Apprecitieve
Leader's in the Eye of the Beholder", Schiller,
Holland and Riley) The model falls into three main
categories. First and by far the most significant-
Values, Second- Word View and third, Practices. A man
from McKinsey Consulting said his office has developed
and validated a similar and compatable Leadership
model.

We then took a deeper dive into values with a values
chain that the presenter, Joep deJong moified during
discussion... Finally Jackie Stavros took her powerful
SOAR approach and moved from an organizational
strategy to an individual application of Strengths,
Opportunities, Aspirations and Results.

Thanks to Shelia Mc Cann we will be writing up what we
think and what we learned about Global Appreciative
Leadership.

Thanks for keeping this topic moving forward.
