[Ailist] Ai, OS Green innovation and invitation

Sue,

Thanks for giving (one of the other Johns on this list) the lovely warm compliment.

"Being AI" is a really nice way of saying (to my mind) that one is appreciatively aware (or present) to life.

Appreciative Awareness is a wonderful thing because it not only gives us the chance to notice (LIFE/Presence) but also to recognise opportunity for good that would otherwise be missed.

Last night I watched one of the videos archived in the TED series - about the lessons of high technology that biology can teach us. Wow. I would not have known about it if the link was not posted on the Ailist recently.

We have already got more answers than questions.

It is (so it seems to me) just that we don't understand (not want to believe the possibility) that life is really beautiful and abundant.

And that probably has got a lot to do with the fact that many of us go through life without feeling really appreciated!

The beginning of this appreciative cycle is hard to pinpoint as it is so obvious - we look at it everyday - in the mirror.

The possibility that there is something to appreciate when we look in the mirror is often awakened when someone else appreciates us.

Cheers from down under where we are actually (from your point of view, time wise) living in tomorrow.

Back to - Being - I am reminded of that saying that we are human beings not human doings.

I attach a 're-working' (by me) of the well known "To be or not to be" as AI or not AI.

Cheers

John, that is a beautiful way to "Be AI". We also made a decision this year that all our books are being printed on recycled paper and all paper we use in the office is recycles.
Our paper is more expensive but it is worth every penny and I believe everyone of us can make a difference no matter how small.
