Within GBS, the Organizational Change Strategy (OCS) group supports
large-scale technology and process change initiatives that have
enterprise-wide significance. By proactively identifying obstacles to
successful change and by using proven methodologies to manage the critical
elements of change initiatives, IBM's OCS practitioners contribute to a
higher level of business buy-in, change ownership, and sustained business
performance. 
  
The OCS practice has a particular need for Managing Consultants who have a
solid background in enterprise-wide change management with strong knowledge
of change methodologies and a focus on organizational design. The
Organizational Change Consultant will plan, develop and deliver change
programs designed to enable clients to transition smoothly through corporate
reorganizations and restructuring, with a particular focus on large scale
technology implementations. This will include the following activities: 
  

*	Assessing the change risk and developing plans to mitigate risk 
*	Assessing stakeholder positioning and developing engagement and
communication strategies to drive change 
*	Designing optimal organizational structures and governance models to
enable client organizations to fulfill corporate strategic objectives and to
deliver the promised benefits of change initiatives.   
*	Coaching leadership in change leadership best practices 
*	Defining business impacts and developing plans to minimize
disruption to the business 
*	Identifying requirements to develop new skills and build strategies
to drive behavior change and skill building 
*	Facilitation of workshops and focus groups across all levels of
business

  


 


Qualifications 


  
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: 

*	An undergraduate university degree and post-graduate education in
Business, Organizational Behavior or a related field. 
*	In addition to other business or consulting experience, at least
three to five years experience as an organization change management
practitioner, supporting technology or ERP implementations. 
*	Experience redesigning organizational structures and/or governance
mechanisms for programs or business units. 
*	Subject matter expertise in Organizational Change methodologies. 
*	Experience addressing strategic change issues with clients or
employees. 
*	Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
*	Experience working with senior level managers. 
*	Experience redesigning organizational structures and/or governance
mechanisms for programs or business units. 
*	Willingness to travel 100% of your time
