Hi Roz,
I've used a blend of the Discovery phase of AI with an adapted version of
William Bridges' Transition model to create a conscious living asset map of
team/organization that includes the phases of transition that each person is
in. I find it helpful for people to be appreciated for the phase of
transition they are in because each phase brings many gifts to the whole.
Before the onsite work, I might have partnered with the old and new leader
to develop discovery questions that relate to each of the phases (Endings,
Void, New Beginnings) and if it's a large enough group, each phase will be
represented and honored for the gifts inherent in the developmental tasks of
that phase (of course there are hindrances, as well, and people delight in
laughing at those in this affirmative context).
I always marvel at how quickly people can move into the unknown once they
have been seen and appreciated.
Good luck on your good work.
Warmly,
Christine

Subject: [Ailist] Transition with new exec
Hi all,
I am looking for ideas on using AI for transitioning an executive into a new
position. Anyone had experience using AI in the early transition period
with a small leadership team and the new exec?
