I don't have any articles to site...
We use the LEAN process here at the hospital. Since the point of LEAN is to eliminate waste in any process, I think the AI approach can fit very well. The dreaming stage - "when does it work best", "What would be ideal" "what would success look like" and them move towards removing the barriers (waste) that get in the way of the dream/goal.

Subject: [Ailist] Lean Problem Solving and Appreciative Inquiry
Hi everyone,
Does anyone have any examples, articles, or case studies using
Appreciative Inquiry in conjunction with Lean (developed by Toyota)
Process Improvement?
I know this may sound like a contradiction; but I am trying to use
Appreciative Inquiry in the Lean Problem Solving Model. I am a student
in the MSOD program at Pepperdine University and hope to develop a
thesis around this topic.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
