Hello all:
In continuation to my pursuit towards implementation of AI Intervention in
my organization, I had a presentation to senior management last week. In
the end during question session, there were many questions for which I did
not have answer. Now while I am in process of preparing my response, I
would appreciate your insights too. The questions asked are as below:
(Background, my organization is a service oriented, government owned,
non-profit company in energy sector. It is proposed that initially AI
should be introduced in a small group (customer service) as a pilot project.
As I have mentioned in my previous postings that my knowledge about AI is
limited to books only. I have read about AI in HRM in MBA and my MBA
dissertation was based on AI.)
1- How and whom AI can be introduced as a pilot project without
disrupting the normal work routine?
2- What sort of sponsorship and guidance structure is required?
3- How many people will likely to be involved in this pilot project?
4- Who will explain them about the AI process?
5- How the change agenda, inquiry strategy, and form of engagement
will be decided?
6- Who will choose the affirmative topic? Who will develop the
interview guidelines/questionnaire etc?
7- What level of management is required for supervising this whole
project?
8- What will be resource commitment? What will be the total time
commitment? What will be the financial commitment?
9- Do we need to hire an AI consultant? If so, for how much time and
how much it will cost us?
10- How much this approach is beneficial to us (technology dominant core
services)? - Cost/Benefit analysis
I also got one feedback that story telling approach will be not be effective
in such an organization, where people go by numbers, graphs, or charts
only?
Looking forward for your cooments,
Thanks,
Mukul
