I've been conducting AI workshops for the Ministry of Education for several years.? In a recent workshop, I assigned Jane's post, "Reflections" for homework and asked that particvipants be prepared to summarize the thinking in the article.? What follows was written by a Principal in response to the assignment.
REFLECTIONS ON JANE M. WATKINS' REFLECTIONS
Let us begin with a PHILOSOPHY that is Broader and Richer tan any processes
taught and used in AI
Let us CONSTRUCT
??????? Relationships
???????????????????? Organizations
???????????????????????????????? Cultures
?????????????????????????????????????????? Beliefs etc
????????? Through APPRECIATIVE EYES
?????????? Because wek now, we perceive/see3 the world through our
????????????????????????????? BELIEFS & EXPECTATIONS
Let us BEGIN? with aqn understanding of WHOLENESS
?????????? That WHOLES precede PARTS
Let us suspend JUDGEMENT by HOLDING 2 SUPPOSEDLY opposite
THOUGHTS in DICHOTOMY
Let us NOT FOCUS on deficits and deficiencies of the situation
??????? But
??????????????? FOCUS on STRENGTHS & possibilities THAT ARE ALWAYS PRESENT
Then we can
?????????????? Define
??????????????????????? Discover
???????????????????????????????? Dream
??????????????????????????????????????? Design
???????????????????????????????????????????? Deliver
OR
???????????????? Inquiree
??????????????????????????? Imagine
??????????????????????????????????? Innovate
???????????????????????????????????????????? Implement
OR
Any other process that we deem fit
Because:
???????? WE FIND WHAT WE LOOK FOR.
