I think a good distinction can be made between "discussing the  appreciative 
questions as a group" and experiencing the quality of listening  that 
transforms both speaker and listener.  The quality of having your  story "received" by 
someone is very different than talking about what the  content would be if we 
were telling our stories.  You also have more time  in pairs to have this 
experience than you would have if each person in a 7  person group "told out" 
their answers to the questions....
 
The second stage of sharing what excited and delighted us, and finding  the 
treasures of experience and learning that we have discovered can be done in  
the whole small group, but to miss the experience of that intimate moment of  
one-on-one,...
