Hi Olga,
I am interested in/ trying to grow the thread that Appreciative Conversation
is an activity that can be harnessed to shift the mind, the emotions, the
neurochemistry.
I KNOW this can be done with a high degree of effectiveess and reliability
to manage anxiety, worry, fear, ADD, and to stimulate thinking, problem
solving and creativity.
Part of the magic of the process is when a victim of anxiety, worry,
shyness, extreme sensitivity etc learns to become a "highly effective
listening partner" - that is - learns to become not a victim but actually a
resource and a vector of growth and effectiveness for other sufferers.
When I say conversation - I mean dyadic conversation in the mode of the AI
discovery conversaation - where "the listening partner" has an intention and
dedication to finding material that is valued by the speaker, to admire,
applaud and thus encourage and inspire.
I know effectively almost nothing about Asperger's syndrome - I just wanted
to frame these ideas - and "applications" for you in case they are of
interest and possible value - and would be happy to correspond more if you
wish
Mike
PS You have inspired me by your e mail - conversation "of the right type" is
also "indcated" against Mature Onset Pseudo-Defficient
Memory Syndrome - and can be used to for short term pain relief.
