Toronto, Ontario - Workshops:
NEW! AI Practitioner Clinic - October 22, 2007 with Jane Magruder Watkins
We describe this one-day workshop as a "clinic" to suggest both a deepening of learning around participant identified topics and because the agenda is built around participant cases questions - rather than a predefined set of concepts, such as are presented in a more traditional workshop setting. A key element of this workshop is the opportunity to provide and receive consultation on each other's cases in progress. Pre-requisite: strong AI foundation and some application experience.
Appreciative Inquiry Foundations Workshop - October 23-25, 2007
(Now a THREE day workshop)
We conduct this 3-day workshop in Toronto in the spring and fall of each year. The workshop is designed for those who want to get a solid grounding in the theory, concepts, and practice of Appreciative Inquiry. Our colleague and mentor Jane Magruder Watkins and her husband Ralph Kelly, of Appreciative Inquiry Unlimited partner with us to make these workshops a powerful and practical learning experience. No pre-requisite.
NEW! Engaging Employees Through Appreciative Inquiry - October 30, 2007
Much has been written in recent years about the "lack of employee engagement". Organizations study and publish reports that tell us that "employees are disengaged" and that the resulting loss of productivity is costing organizations millions of dollars annually. This one-day workshop looks at this increasingly high priority issue through the lens of Appreciative Inquiry. The workshop provides an introduction to the theory and concepts of Appreciative Inquiry and engages participants in an inquiry experience focused on the topic of employee engagement. It is particularly relevant for mid to senior level communications and HR professionals, as well as business owners. No pre-requisite.
NEW! STRATEGIC IMPACT: learning to SOART - November 7-8, 2007
Based on the tremendous success of our June workshop, Dr. Jacqueline Stavros, Associate Professor at Lawrence Technological University College of Management will again join us to conduct a two-day workshop on the application of SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) in strategic planning. This workshop will appeal to AI practitioners as well as anyone involved in the process of strategic planning in their organization. Jackie has authored several articles, and has co-authored two books: The First Appreciative Inquiry Handbook: For Leaders of Change and Dynamic Relationships: unleashing the power of Appreciative Inquiry in daily living.
NEW! Introduction to Appreciative Inquiry for Coaches - November 20-21, 2007
This two-day workshop is relevant for coaching practitioners who have a desire to deepen their coaching practice by incorporating AI principles. The workshop is intended to provide an introduction to the theory and concepts of Appreciative Inquiry, as well as explore the practice of AI in coaching. Pre-requisite: Participants will be well-versed in coaching, and currently in practice with a coaching model.
Brandon, Manitoba:

The workshop is designed for those who want to get a solid grounding in the theory, concepts, and practice of Appreciative Inquiry. Our colleague and mentor Jane Magruder Watkins of Appreciative Inquiry Unlimited partner with us to make these workshops a powerful and practical learning experience. This workshop is sponsored by The Knowledge Centre of Manitoba Agriculture Food & Rural Initiatives (MAFRI). No pre-requisite.
