Appreciative Inquiry and the Appreciative Inquiry Summit

Frank Barrett and David Cooperrider are offering a workshop entitled Appreciative Inquiry and the Appreciative Inquiry Summit - A Workshop for Leaders and Consultants Engaged in Organizational Transformation.  We will cover the basics of Appreciative Inquiry as well as recent advances in theory and practice, including the Appreciative Inquiry Summit.  The workshop will be held in beautiful Carmel, California June 18-21.  

 

We will cover introductory topics such as:  Topic Choice, Appreciative Interviewing, Crafting Provocative Propositions and Creating and Sustaining an Appreciative Organization Culture.   David Cooperrider will cover the first two phases - Discovery and Dream; Frank Barrett will cover the last two phases:  Design and Destiny. 

 

In addition, we will focus on the application of the Appreciative Inquiry Summit method to enable strategic thinking, visioning, and rapid change in large group, multi-stakeholder settings.  We have discovered that the AI Summit is a method that allows us to work with the whole system and enables more voices to be involved in the inner circle of strategy and organizational destiny.  Illustrations of this constructive approach to organization transformation will be drawn from work with small and large corporations, with communities, and with international organizations addressing global issues of trans-boundary concern.  We will discuss a wide range of cases from public, private, and non profit sector, including the US Navy, World Vision, Roadway Express.
