You might want to look for an HBR article by Ginger Graham, titled something
like, "if you want honesty, you need to tell the truth'. I forget the exact
article title but that's pretty close.

Dont know if it is too late - but there are some good interviews with C-
suite folk on the McKinsey Quarterly website - many of which are free - that
address the leaders role in change
