If we can begin to think of anger as a veneer, like the stuff that is used
to cover wood and composition board. It is the hard surface that people
develop (or use) to protect the much softer material underneath. Some
thinking says that anger is covering what are called "core hurts." --
Feeling:
disregarded
unimportant
accused
devalued
rejected
powerless
unlovable
untouchable
These are set up in descending order meaning the lower the hurt in the list
the deeper it is.
