Greetings. Although I have been working with the GEM Initiative and AI for
about five years now, I still have much to learn about the many possible
applications of AI and how it might be used in different situations. I am
writing to request information from anyone that may have had an experience
with the use of AI for public school district planning in the USA. 

The context: our school district superintendent, principal, Mary (my wife)
as board president and myself held a meeting last week to discuss their
interest in conducting a participatory, community wide strategic planning
process for determining the school's future education goals, directions,
etc. They would like my assistance (as a volunteer given conflict of
interest issues here) in the design and mangement of this process using
Appreciative Inquiry. The process is expected to take from 6-9 months and
would be the first of its kind in our school district with all
stakeholders--local businesses, teachers, admin, county office of ed reps,
parents, kids, etc. included.

Has anyone had some experience with such a process? If so, do you have any
documentation from such work? Any resources you can suggest?

If we were to seek funding for this planning initiative, can you recommend
any specific foundations/donors?
